Pencil & Purpose Learning is a sole proprietorship based in Greater Victoria, British Columbia. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in accordance with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
We use your information to reply to your enquiry, arrange and deliver sessions, send you the resources you have asked for, and keep the records a small business is required to keep. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.
Please do not include health, diagnostic, or assessment information about your child in the website enquiry form. If that information is relevant, we will collect it properly and with your written consent once you are a client. Information about a child is provided by, and belongs to, their parent or guardian.
Some of these providers store data outside Canada, which means it may be subject to the laws of the country it is stored in.
Enquiries that don't become clients are deleted within two years. Client records are kept for seven years to meet tax and record-keeping requirements, then securely destroyed.
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email pencilandpurposelearning@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days, as PIPA requires.
Contact us first at the address above. If you aren't satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
